Australian Operation
CBO’s Australian olive groves are located at Boundary Bend, Boort, and Wemen in Victoria. Our groves contain over 2.6 million olive trees planted on 7,000 hectares of freehold farmland and have been progressively planted, with the oldest trees planted in 2004 and the most recent planting occurring in Autumn 2024.

32 olive harvesters, including 25 purpose-built Colossus® mechanical over-the-row harvesters and 3 Optimus® mechanical over-the-row harvesters developed in conjunction with Maqtec Argentina.
Australian olive mills
Two olive mills for processing olives and extracting olive oil, located on-site at our Boundary Bend and Boort groves, with combined processing capacity of 144 tonnes of olive fruit per hour and on-site olive oil storage totalling 6.8 million litres.

Our nine-hectare property in Lara is home to our head office, nursery operations, bottling operations, laboratory services, 11 million litres of olive oil storage and warehouses covering approximately 20,000m². This includes Australia’s largest olive oil filling and packaging operation, capable of producing up to 14,400 bottles per hour.
Olive tree nursery
Our Modern Olives® olive tree nursery is a large scale, specialist olive nursery supplying olive trees to commercial growers, wholesalers, retail nurseries and national chain stores. The nursery is the largest of its kind in Australia and maintains a collection of over 20 olive varieties.
Olive oil laboratory
The Modern Olives® laboratory is one of the world’s leading olive R&D and testing laboratories. It supplies technical laboratory and advisory services across all aspects of the olive industry relating to olive oil testing and taste panel, technical advice, R&D and applied research. Modern Olives® laboratory has twice been recognised by AOCS as the world’s most accurate olive oil lab and is accredited by AOCS, NATA, ISO and TGA.
Innovation and Value-add
As part of our zero-waste strategy and our circular economy approach, we continually explore and implement opportunities to add-value to the by-products of olive farming and olive oil production. A key focus is on the internal use and external sale of olive biomass, including olive pit and dry olive pomace to external parties including food manufacturers, hospitals, and nurseries as a renewable energy source for heat and electricity production or for use on orchards as a soil amendment.
Undeveloped freehold land
We own 5,423 hectares of freehold land near Gol Gol (near Mildura) in New South Wales with the potential to plant approximately 3,000 hectares of olive trees. We have no immediate plans to develop this property but will continue to review this opportunity.
USA Operations
Our USA olive groves total almost 4 million olive trees planted on ~3,292 hectares of freehold and leased properties. We planted our first olive grove in the USA in 2015 with subsequent plantings in 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

USA olive mills, olive oil storage, bottling, and warehousing facilities
Our Woodland site (near Sacramento) serves as our USA head office together with olive milling, oil storage, bottling, and warehousing. Our Woodland site has milling capacity of 64 tonnes of olive fruit per hour, together with 4.5 million litres of olive oil storage, bottling capacity of 3,500 per hour bottling capacity, and 5,000m² of warehousing and storage.
Our Artois olive mill, oil storage, bottling, and warehouse facility is close to CBO’s northern olive groves and third-party growers. Our Artois site has 72 tonnes per hour milling capacity, together with 11 million litres of oil storage, bottling capacity of 6,500 bottles per hour, and 3,900m² of warehousing and storage.
